If-Then Unit
These units are meant to give teachers choice in what to teach in the time that remains in the school year.  The structure of the Phonics Projects will be the same as that of which the children learn throughout Bend IV of Unit 5. You can find resources  and supports for these Phonics Projects on Heinemann at the end of Unit 5. There will be a choice session on March 11, 2020. As always, you can consult with your CTLs and coaches.
Reading and Writing with More Power: Snap Words, Editing, and More
This unit can be found on Heinemann-under General Information tab-titled "Mini Unit to come between Units 3 and 4: Reading and Writing with More Power: Snap Words, Editing, and More "

This mini unit provides a good deal of opportunity for revisiting sessions and extensions from the first 3 units. A first step in planning for the unit is completing the assessments that you can find in A Guide to the Phonics Units of Study  beginning on page 85. You can use the information you gain from the assessments to tailor this mini-unit to the needs of your current students. Your CTLs and coaches are available to think alongside you as you move forward with this unit.
